Text: Thank you for getting vol.29! Weeell... 29 volumes already. Amazing. I never even thought I'd reach this... All of it, in its entirety, is thanks to you, dear readers reading this. Thank you, really. For how many more volumes will this story last...? It'll probably take another 5-6 years... as long as it's not axed... that is. I wish I had the opportunity to draw it till the end. No, I will!

Dear readers, it's been a while since volume 28. I'm so glad we were able to meet again on this page. Well then, this is volume 29, which means volume 30 is right around the corner. 30 volumes, huh... well, it's quite amazing, isn't it. At the beginning it was almost certain that I would get axed at volume 5, but since then so many readers have bought this comic that now it's about to get its 30th volume. I'm so profoundly grateful to all of you readers for that. And every day I don't forget how incredibly lucky I am. I mean, in this industry where it's a given for almost 90% of all works to get prematurely axed, to be allowed to release this many volumes still feels like a dream to me. But even if it's a dream, I still plan to keep being in this dreamy trance and working with all my might on Tougen Anki for a while longer. This is both a story that you readers helped continue and a work that changed my own life. So as a way of returning the favor I plan to keep steadily drawing it all the way to completion. For how many more volumes will Tougen Anki continue? It will probably take another 6 years or so until it reaches its final volume, perhaps? Or maybe, surprisingly, it will be over a little faster than that? I still don't know for sure. If possible, I'd be happy to draw it all the way to the final volume I'd already had in mind before the serialization started, but you never know what might happen in life. So I plan to pour my every effort into drawing the story week by week without losing focus. You readers must be finding yourselves facing all kinds of change in the course of your lives too. There may be those among you who will drop this manga at some point or other. And I think there is nothing wrong with that. I believe it will happen because your lives get enriched in other ways. But if, at some point, you recall this manga and decide to leaf through the pages to learn what's next, that is sure to make me absolutely elated as the author. I've been drawing for a long time, and now volume 30 is right around the corner! I hope you'll buy it! And the one after it! If possible, keep getting all the volumes until the final one!
